So I just found you while doing a search on best under eye setting powders. I made the mistake of ordering the ELF under eye setting powder. I actually referred myself to the Crypt keeper with this. It enhanced my wrinkles so bad it was embarrassing. I tried different techniques to no avail. Thank you for posting this. I'm now a subscriber and will binge watch to play catch-up. I'd rather watch and get information from someone closer to my age then someone over half my age.

Hello! I was all set to buy the Laura Mercier Powder until I saw the ingredients. Are any of those you recommended free of parabens and are non-toxic?

PUR loose translucent setting powder is my HG. No talc. Pricey for the amount but worth it! No talc & I hardly need ANY. My 41yr old under eyes look the best they have in yrs since using PUR .

I donโ€™t think you have a dry under eye if you like the Laura mercier brightening powder,, because I have dry with fine lines and it didnโ€™t work just looked horrible

my under eye is not even dry, my skin is oily my under eye area is normal and soft to touch, and I additionally moisturize it before makeup, and yet as soon as any amount of powder touches that area I immediately look like I have 100 times more wrinkles, which are not even visible without powder. I tried all techniques and just made peace with the fact that under eye setting powders are not for me. ๐Ÿ™

I would highly recommend the Sensai translucent loos powder. It is the only powder I have tried that actually improves the look of my under eye skin, instead of exaggerating the flaws.

The wet n wild powder has a sheen to it?! I've never tried it, but this is surprising to me. Most reviews I've seen on it have never mentioned that aspect, at all. If it does have a sheen to it, that actually makes me WANT to try it for my face, because I have super dry skin and I really love those powders that have a natural sheen to them because it looks better on my skin! ๐Ÿ™‚
It still blows my mind to hear you say that you are over 40 because you look SO incredibly young!!!!!

I love your channel Stephanie, but darn that Laura Mercier is so expensive, I'm sure it lasts forever, but I'm on a budget and I just can't spend that much on a setting powder. But I love your channel. I love to learn your helpful techniques, I"m turning 51 on Thanksgiving Day and I'm getting back to wearing makeup after taking a break after cancer and things are so different now.

I've tried the method you talked about and I get that terrible alligator look under my eyes. But that is only if I put a lot of powder on and brush away. If I put a very small amount of powder on with the beauty blender and focus on the part of the undereye very close to the lower lid and then blot down, I don't get the scary alligator look. I also have been using the coconut oil thing and see some slight improvement. I might try what another commenter said about using setting spray instead of powder on the beauty blender. I've used LM powder and Hourglass, both seem good, I think I slightly prefer Hourglass. Have not used the No7 yet.

Intetestingly, I get the best results when I tap the powder into my undereyes with a brush. I'd tried setting them with sponge for a long time, they looked overly dried and wrinkly. I don't know what I do wrong about this sponge technique that most ladies love ๐Ÿค”

If you can put that fit me powder anywhere near your under eye area and not look dry or aged then you my friend do not truly have dry under eyes. I'm only 27 and using that powder anywhere on my face or under eye area (tried both) makes me look like I'm freakin 60!

I agree with you about the by Terry powder. I splurged for it and it was so disappointing. I recently purchased the laura mercier under eye brightening powder and it is the best in my book. I have very dry under eyes as well. Others may mouth but tend to darken my under eye area after concealer. I dont see glitter or sparkle at all with the LM.

Have you tried the Becca under eye balm and under eye brightening setting powder? I recently bought these and they have changed my under eye game. I use the balm, then Shape Tape, then the brightening powder and have had fantastic results. At 52, I definitely have crepe, dark circles and lines to hide and this combo does the trick for me.
