The Best Sunscreens for Dark Skin Tones Under $50 | The Real Deal | InStyle

Sunscreen isn’t what it used to be. These days, it comes in all sorts of formsโ€”spray, solid stick, powder, even serumsโ€”in addition to the thick, goopy lotions from your childhood. Even though there’s a wide range to choose from, many formulas still leave a chalky cast on dark skin tones.

This week on The Real Deal, we’ve rounded up four modern sunscreens that won’t leave white residue behind on dark skin tones. Which product works best for you? Share your thoughts with us!

The Real Deal is InStyle’s new series where beauty insiders test out the latest trends and let you know if the investment is worth it. From high end to low end, we’re dedicated to delivering everything you need to know about what’s trending.

Love the unseen sunscreen but itโ€™s a chemical sunscreen I donโ€™t want any of those ingredients in my blood stream. Please recommend more mineral for dark skin thatโ€™s a real challenge!

All these synthetic chemicals for beauty women are wearing? Now youโ€™re convinced you need sunscreen which in itself is known to cause skin cancer๐Ÿค” I have yet to meet a brown (with melanin) person with skin cancer.

Can you come out with a video about mineral or natural sunscreens that are better for preventing further hyperpigmentation for melanin skin. Currently I use the elta md uv clear non tinted itโ€™s mineral/physical and leaves no cast at all
