It took skin cancer for my husband to start using a sunscreen. He's diligent about using it and is liking Neogen's sunscreen. Every year he has a skin check & has been cancer free for 6 years.

I don't like being in the sun either lol and I live in Trinidad where it's hot all year round. I've been putting off using a sunscreen because with the heat and my oily skin I didn't want to look like a greaseball. I'll incorporate it into my routine from now on

Great video. I am growing a beard. I started 18 days ago. I am getting some attention from women and men. This older man was complimenting my t-shirt. It's a green shirt with the Dublin,Ireland. He asked if I was from Ireland, I stated that I had relatives there. He was checking me and my beard out.

Loving the video but a little correction its a common misconception that mineral sunscreen reflects light whereas it actually works exactly the same way as chemical sunscreen (absorbing the UV rays and converting them to heat) its been shown that mineral sunscreens Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide reflect only as little as 5% of UV rays and the rest is converted to heat buy absorption

It may not be common knowledge but there is research thats shows that UVA rays can cause cancer as well, they tend to as you said penetrate deeper and can alter the composition of DNA as well (the break down of collagen etc)
I am so glad you said wear a separate SPF because people dont realise that a moisturiser or foundation with SPF is not going to cover you, if possible people should be using an moisturiser that may contain SPF but wearing a actual dedicate SPF as well

I absolutely love your videos because they are very informative without being boring. I have been curious about the neogen real fresh blueberry cleanser because it’s a foam but hydrating. I have not found a review on it and I would love to see one from you. Keep up the good work!

THANK YOU!!! My mom didn't want to wear sun screen when we went to Florida. Excuse was she's black she don't need it. Well the sun is a lot stronger in southern usa than in the northern states. She needed major aloe vera within 20 minutes for the sunburns she got. Friends also didn't want to borrow any sunscreen during our kyacking trip. I was the only one without a burn. WEAR!!! YOUR!!!!! S!!!!P!!!!!!!F!!!!!!! They think i'm insane for wearing the cosrx one you showed in the winter, but I wanna protect my skin and rid of pigmenation!

Great video, you didn't get tong tide imo 🙂 however one this I would add is in the UK we have UVA rating 1 up to 5 instead of the Asian PA rating. Suncream is so important, my dad had cancerous spots on his face from not wearing enough, there does need to be more awareness of its danger. I use Altruist SPF30 Suncream everyday, a great chemical none irritating lotion that dry's almost completely clear. Its also cheap to at £8 for 400ml or £16 for 1000ml pump. Can't complain at that 🙂

This is the best explanation I've heard for SPF. One other person gave me a decent explanation, but this one explained a lot more, especially in regards to makeups and such that have that combined. Awesome video! Btw, I found about this from JKissa's Instagram feed. Glad I found it.

People need to take more care of their skin from sun damage especially in Western countries. Everyone wants to tan and end up damaging their skin or even getting skin cancer. Good thing I was never a fan of tanning.

Can we also start debunking the myth that you can not get a tan if you wear an spf? Some of us loooove the sun and being out in the sunshine, I love the beach I love being outside. Sunshine makes me so happy! I have too many friends that don't wear spf bc they want a "dark, healthy tan". I do know that no tan is technically "healthy" per say, but I do believe that I look better with some color. I was at the beach this past week, wore spf 50 all over all day and reapplied every hour and a half. I am GOLDEN! No burns, not dry (bc I also moisturize A LOT all over), and I look good! I'm not leathery, I am a good color and I wore spf 50 ALL DAY and reapplied regularly.
    YOU CAN TAN WITH SPF!!!'
If you're someone with oily skin and looking for a mineral spf to wear under makeup or one that isn't super oily I would suggest the Australian Gold tinted spf 50 for the face. It is the ONLY mattifying mineral sunscreen I have been able to find. Downsides: it does have dimethicone in it so if you're sensitive to that be wary. It also has aluminum in it, so if you're an all natural type of person I would keep that in mind.

I wear a broad spectrum spf 50 on my face every day no matter what, and a spf 30 on body every day. I slather my kids in 50 every single day. I'm trying to get my husband to wear an spf at least 30 every day. He doesn't spend much time outside, but he has a big window in his office and he also has rosacea so he really needs it! Plus he's turning 40 this year, it's time for a daily spf in his routine.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy for wearing sunscreen in the winter, or when the sun is not visible. It seems a lot of people only think about UVB! I care more about UVA, because I want to stay young as long as possible. I hate being in the sun too, and avoid it as much as I can. I use Cosrx in the winter, and when it's not so sunny, but when it's super hot and I'm sweating like a pig, I prefer the Hawaiian Tropic sensitive face sun lotion, spa 50, PA+++. Have you tried that one?
