For years, I've used drug store brand SPF sunscreens, however, at my ripe full age of 34, I am beginning to see signs of aging. To address this, I am trying to become more serious about my SPF and overall skin care. I have used Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega Defense Advanced Daily UV Defender SPF 45. LOVED it!! I am on the rosier/oily skin side, especially after sun exposure during the summer months. I love how matte this sets after 20 minutes. I didn't mind the white cast so much because it was evidence for me the product was doing its job. Next, it is mineral, so when I used it, NEVER experienced stinging if it got into my eyes. That is very important for me as I spend a lot of time on the road for work and I can't be wiping away tears. Last, not sure what the ingredients in this SPF does, but my skin LOVES it. Absolutely soothes the redness away and I started to get compliments at work saying how fresh and young I look. My only drawback is the price for just 1 oz. of product is just a little over my budget for SPF and went through it in less than a month.

I am currently trying Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion Sunscreen 50+ WetForce going on one week tomorrow. I purchased the 1.6 oz in case it does not work for me. So far, this is doing everything for me that Dr. Andrew Origins SPF except the matte finish. However, after 20 minutes, this absolutely gave me a healthy glow. It feels like Lancรดme La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer. I am still figuring out if I like it or not. At first, I did not like how silky it was for my face, being I am oily some days. I found that it needs a really good shake before application for better wearing. It feels really nice 20 minutes after application and when I check the mirror, I do not look oily or shiny. Twice so far, I may have rubbed it onto my eyelids and experienced mild stinging, but NOTHING like chemical SPF sunscreens. I may have to alternate between this and the above to get the most for my money. I am trying to learn as much as I can about sunscreens. I really enjoyed this video and am taking all the info from this video earnestly. Thank you -alandon

So much marketing hype. If you're serious about protecting your skin from the sun I highly recommend you learn about how sunscreens actually work.

Hi Jeffrey! I love to watch all your skincare videos! I'm obsessed! I do have a concern with my current SPF. I am a guy who shaves my complete face but I can still feel the stubble afterwards. I wear the Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Moisturizer with SPF 50 its the anti-aging sunscreen. Well, after applying this product, the sunscreen begins to like flake off especially around my facial hair area. Has this been a concern by others? & is there another product you would rather recommend? I'm really interested in the Shiseido Sun Protection Lotion with water resistant because I do sweat a lot & worry that my Kate SPF is washing off. Help! Please! Much love! Manny

Just got the Supergoop Setting Powder SPF 45. I'm really liking it so far but I have noticed that the powder pod screws off so that you can add more powder(?)(gasp!). Will there be refills in the future?? How about a big Costco size tub to refill this little thing!

I'm looking into trying the Clinique BB for acne prone skin. It has plenty of SPF and has a tint, so if I don't want to wear foundation in the sweltering heat, I can still get some coverage.

I am going to try the powder for touch ups – I wonโ€™t try any of the others as my face is sensitive and chemical sunscreens tend to sting.

I just bought Drunk Elephant's Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Protection quotidienne SPF 30. I put it on after my skincare. I will buy Kate Somerville's SPF makeup setting spray to set my makeup and to reapply. I also want to check out Coola's hair & scalp mist with SPF too.
