Summer Skincare Faves: Japanese/Asian Sunscreen!

Summer Skincare Faves: Japanese/Asian Sunscreen!

Japanese, Korean & European sunscreens merge skincare with superior sunblock. Breaking down the ways in which these sunscreens are superior would’ve ended up in an hour long video and I did not want to bore those who just want to see my favourite products. So here is some info:

In the U.S. the FDA has some of the strictest standards for UV filters/blockers. Far fewer proven ones are allowed compared to Asia and Europe, so reasonably, Europe and Asia have potentially more effective sunscreen. One of the most effective proven UVA filters, Mexoryl, is only allowed in the US by the FDA for La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios products. Unfortunately. while large European cosmetics companies have great sunblock products, most of them cannot be sold in the U.S.

While Meroxyl is one of the most effective UVA inhibitors commonly used in European sunscreens, in the Japanese sunscreens, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate (Uvinal A Plus) gives the substantial UVA protective punch or PA++++ protection.

Japanese sunscreens are also amazing because it has been a big focus of their cosmetics industry through the ages due to cultural standards of beauty being, the lighter the skin, the better. This is a part of everyday skincare and not separate. They have mastered how to create a product that will keep skin light, bright, non-greasy and withstand the oppressive humidity and heat of Summer in Asia.

My picks will make application and reapplication a breeze whatever skin type you have!

Hi Renee is there even any sunscreen that is not water resistant or waterproof? Since I am a Muslim and need to wash my face (with water) 5x a day. So itโ€™s a bit difficult if the sunscreen is waterproof/water resistant.

Can you please review the Japanese top rated for 2018 RAFRA Essence UV Milk SPF 50 PA ++++. I just received it and it goes on absolutely Amazing. Has lots of good skincare ingredients in it as well and smells like orange blossoms though the fragrance is all natural. The sunscreen has the freshness of a gel but applies like a moisturising serum to give the skin invisible protection from daily UV exposure. It features fullerenes to help further protect the skin against environment aggressors such as UV rays and pollution. A blend of 10 skin beautifying ingredients including acerola fruit extract, aloe vera, vitamin C derivative, hyaluronic acid, and collagen. Added microfine soft-focus powder blurs minor skin imperfections for a perfect bare skin result and it comes in a large 180g pump container to easily leave out in your room so as to not forget to apply it daily.

beautiful women nice wavy hair and bright face looking like full moon looking out of beautiful dark night clouds added by lovely dimples on your cheeks beauty…….Any way the sunscreen s look good though it's not that useful for dark brown skin although I get tanned easily and oily layer if exposing too much to sun still this asian sunscreen might work to reduce other skin problems from sun exposure other than darkening.

Wish more of Asian sunscreens were available in India. Most sunscreens with white cast look really unpleasant on our brown skin. I too avoided wearing sunscreen for a long time due to this. The L'Orรฉal one is available in India though, good to know we have this option.

I'm between the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence and the Biore Uv Aqua Rich Smooth Watery Gel Spf50. I don't know wich one is better.
I was hesitating because of the alcohol but if it works for your sensitive skin, it should work for me ( i have no sensitive skin ).

I really enjoyed your video. Whats the difference between UVA and UVB rays? You mentioned UV rays but since Im in Canada Ive always been told that my sunscreen has to contain both UVA and UVB (broadspectrum) in order to complete protect my skin. I use the Shideido spf 50+ wetforce.
