Iโ€™ve been on accutane (isotretinoin) for a few months. Iโ€™ve still broken out a few times and all those times Iโ€™ve broken out they have left scars. What kinds of treatments exist after someone finishes accutane? How do I diminish scarring (I have lots of purple and red spots on my skin)

Hello Dr. Dray, thank you for your informative videos. I am starting to consider buying led light therapy for wrinkles, may be a medical grade one, which can be expensive. What is your opinion about it, and what are the side effects if any? Thank you so much for all your efforts in educating people about skin care and health.

Dr. Dray, can you do a Q & A specifically about acne scars? I had horrible hormonal cystic acne in perimenopause that was not properly treated by the HMO I had then. I was never able to see a dermatologist…just a PA who prescribed topical clindamycin which had no effect, then a topical anti fungal I forget the name of, also no effect. Finally I paid out of pocket to see a private practice dermatologist who prescribed RetinA. That worked, but damage was done. I was left with horrific ice pick acne scars on my cheeks that seem to be getting more visible with age. I'm 67 now, 20 years post menopause. Thank you in advance.

I am learning so much from your Q&Aโ€™s and your other videos! I have learned that good skin care does not have to cost a fortune number one and number two, the importance of sunscreen and the importance of reapplying later in the day as I I have watched you do in your vlogs ,thank you for that! It is something I didnโ€™t know!

Iโ€™m new to your videos Dr Dray. Thank you for all of your great information. After watching this video, I wanted to share that high mcg Biotin supplements give me large, painful, cystic type acne. I have very clear skin that I take great care of (I wear sunscreen everyday) Biotin is pretty much the only thing that causes me to break out.

I know I'm not supposed to squeeze the face but if something gets too pus-ey I disinfect a needle and just break the skin and then dab with disinfectant. Usually takes care of it and I personally don't think it makes the scarring any worse than it would be anyway… but you're gonna tell me this is also bad aren't you? ๐Ÿ˜ข

I'm currently trying to emphasize to my 12 y/o daughter to not touch her acne-much less squeeze anything!. Ditto with her hankering for the use of pore strips, face masks, etc. Sunscreen application and re-application behavior is also a work in progress with her. I'm going to try and get her to watch your teenage skin care video ๐Ÿ™‚

I use the Rodan & Fields skin care the reverse one. They have first step as an exfoliating. They say use once a day till you can work up to twice a day. I only use it once a day only because I get to dry and flaking which I remove with a towel and then use thier active hydrating serum and aqua for it helps. I'm get some treatments this next October of fractional co2 laser. Then when I heal Retin A. I'm gonna start with the 0.25 % and move up as I can . Are all these the best way to handle my skin care regime?? I'm 51 major sun damage with acne scarring. Lots of wrinkling in deep ones crows feet and the 11's.

If I am currently using tretinoin .05% gel every night and have been for about 2 years, is there anything else I can add to boost the anti aging results, example fines lines around my eyes and a few on forehead? Also I use onexton in the morning to help with breakouts but still have blackheads on nose and some on chin. I have more dry skin in winter and combo in summer.
Thanks for your help and all of your great videos.

Another who's binge watching your videos this weekend. Have learned more about skincare in the last few days than I have in years watching beauty gurus or facialists. This is an invaluable service you're doing and you deserve a million subs.ย

I'm Irish with typical uber pale pink undertone Celtic skin that burns within minutes in sun exposure and doesn't tan and I know the importance of applying high SPF sunscreen year round and the risk of skin cancer-Ireland has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world even though we don't get much sun because many are not well informed about the dangers of sun exposure or they use sun beds. I love my pale skin anyway and years of wearing sunscreen has not only protected my skin but I'm often told I look 10 years younger than I am. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Dr. Dray. Love your videos! Always watch a few everyday. Youโ€™ve helped me a lot. Iโ€™ve spent close to $2,000 in just a few years on treatments and products for hyperpigmentation and acne and NONE of them worked. I started to do your more simplicity approach to skincare and it has helped WAY more than any popular treatments or patented โ€œguaranteed to workโ€ products. Have a happy holidays!
