I like this look and the conversation. I'm trying to get into makeup and your tutorial is fantastic. Will def be trying this. Does anyone have a special trick for applying liquid liner? I always have this obvious gap even when I put it as close to my lashes as I can….

Great video. I would just say be careful not to generalize all black men or all white people. There are those out there that stereotype black women and I know that we aren't all alike in perspective or experience. So if I wouldn't want people generalizing me, I try not to do it to others.

this video was SO on point. i agree with your points and how difficult it must be for black people who are Homosexual. Its quite unfortunate to see how the gay and trans community is abused and looked dwn upon just for trying to be happy, while people who aren't gay and are cis gender strive for the same kind of happiness. it is 2015 and people still hold on to the archaic rules that it should be "man and woman, not adam and steve"…i truly believe that this mind set is a clear view of imposition brought in by outside opinions, (i. e. religion, politics, and even trauma)…everyone wants to be happy, so why fight each other for something that is so clear and attainable? thanks for this vid! the makeup was flawless as usual ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I didn't know that eye primer or just primer in general helped with oily skin. Good to know.

Your everyday look is very pretty!

Hmmm. I don't really agree with your assessment on religion and homosexuality. If you are a religious person and a Christian, (I am but not of the faiths you mentioned) and you know the scriptures, you know that God sets the standard on what He feels is acceptable. And he doesn't find homosexuality acceptable. It is sad when I see so called religious people persecute homosexuals and bash them. Honestly, I would never do it because I cannot judge anyone. I am not God. But of you call yourself a Christian you are saying that you are conforming your life to fit His standards as much as we humanly can. We can never be perfect but we have to continue to struggle to keep hold of the standards set out. That is where the whole "down low" thing came about. They want to straddle the Christian or religious life or put up pretenses that they are, yet still practice homosexuality secretly and they simply cannot do it.

I feel you on the dark skin discussion. Just like how white people hate discussion on race and try to pretend that "they don't see race", black men hate to acknowledge the particular trials on dark skinned women. Amazing they think its about them! Lol. No, its about us feeling beautiful for ourselves and accepting ourselves. Why can't they see that??

I do totally love it. You need to come where I am and help me pick out makeup and then help me put it on. Like seriously. You make makeup look so easy. Great topics of discussion. Honestly, it amazes me how we are still dealing with the same crap in 2015. Is there no hope for humanity??!!

You go on witcha bad self! I'm loving how you were engaging in conversation while getting ready. Great video!

I agree with you, us dark skinned women who are empowering one another, aren't thinking about black men or trying to make everyone attracted to us. This sounds self centered, but us talking about the beauty and loving ourselves as dark skinned black woman, is not about anyone else but US.

I also agree that there are people who are uncomfortable talking about race. As for that Guy's comment saying that black people only talk about race from our perspective is silly. As a black person, what other perspective would black people talk about race? I'm glad that you asked him, what does he think about race from his perspective?
