I plan on trying Mented Cosmetics. They are black owned and specialize in making nudes for black women. I read the reviews and watched a few on YouTube. The reviews were great and I can't wait to try the Mented #5 lipstick.

I’ve tried to create my own line exclusively for Black women. When I launched the website and started promoting white women felt left out and I still got ignorant comments from Black women. Smh

"Be the change that you want to see"…isn't that what Rihanna did? Let's uplift each other and give credit where it's due.

I love Fenty Beauty – especially the match sticks which are multi purpose. I love the colour ranges – the fact that a lot of thought has gone into a lot of the colours to suit most skin tones. Her brushes and applicators are also fantastic!! RiRi’s Mother is also a dark skinned woman including her best friend – I think it’s doubtful she would be involved in a range her own Mother wouldn’t be able to use. The price point and quality is luxury without being super expensive. Final point – the whole foundation range is demi MATT – she’s clearly thought of black Woman first for this range, which complements our natural shine. I also use and compliment my make up bag with other smaller black own makeup. Maréna Beauté has the most AMAZINGGGGGG blushes for dark skin. I’ve replaced ALL my MAC blushes with almost their entire line!! the colours are beautiful

Check out the Beauty Bakerie. It’s a smaller brand owned by black woman (as far as I know). Their shade range is pretty wide and the first shade is the darkest one.

Rihanna tried though. And Fenty Beauty really has set a standard for these other makeup brands that try to come out with a pathetically small shade range. People arent having it no more

Of course don't settle keep pushing for more, I applaud fenty and rihanna. She made sure to cater to women of darker complexions. By applauding her you push other brands to not ignore dark skinned women.

I totally understand ppl being disappointed and I’d also love to see a line that ranges from dark to light. But at the same time, I love Rihanna for being inclusive. Inclusive for dark skin black people, inclusive for black people with albinism, inclusive for darker Asian people with certain undertones and also inclusive for lighter Asian people who get a light shade but another undertone so they don’t have to look pink or ashy.

I think RiRi did an amazing job at representing black women. From the start she included us which is something most brands do after they receive backlash for lack of representation. Furthermore, her social media team does an amazing job at representing black women on social media and many other cultures. At the end of the day I support her makeup and I’m a huge fan of her music.

One of the reasons men are moving from woman to woman is because when we meet you, you look one way, then when we see you again you look another way. This is WITCH CRAFT!!! BE YOURSELF!!!

Well definitely wondering what you think of the darkskin male dressing up like a female and shooting an (official!) Fenty Beauty commercial that Rihanna obviously loved & endorsed, even putting it on her IG. Meanwhile can an actual darkskin female get that spot without making a mockery of us?

I found the product line Black Radiance from Wal-Mart, girl I found the True exact match to my face. No more mixing two foundation's to match my color and undertones. They carry palettes and contours for Black skin. I dunno who owns it but it was a godgiven gift got me to find my match. Prices are very reasonable too. I'm girl Black Radiance all the way!!
