I am using an SPF 30 PA++ zincoxide physical sunscreen. Its such a pain in the ass to blend it but I go through it because I know it will help my skin. Now I am planning to buy Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 50 PA+++ just for the face and keep my older one for the neck ,chest and arms.

Im black and suffer from hormonal acne (pih on chin area, back and chest).i tried otc hydroquinone and im not a fan because it lightens the skin around the dark spots and not the spots!my dr gave me azelaic acid to try but it doesnt do anything.I will be trying Retin-A (0,025) next!

Oh, dear God. I didn't know that lightbulbs could drive hyperpigmentation! I work from home (with the light & computer monitors on) during the day. Never thought I'd need sunscreen indoors, too! Thanks for the info!

Hi Dr. Dray! Thanks so much for the informative video about dark spots. I’m about to start treatment with Triluma but have a few questions… can I start treatment in summer? While breastfeeding? If so, what SPF should I use?

Hello Doctor, for a dark brown spot on my leg from insect bite; I have been prescribed Melano-TX Cream [Tranexamic Acid (10% w/w), Kojic Acid (2% w/w), Arbutin (1.5% w/w), Magnesium (1% w/w), Vitamin E (1% w/w), Mulberry extract (1% w/w)]. How long should I use to see any result?

Latina here and my current fav for Summer is Banana Boat SPF 50 Dry Balance 50+. Leaves no cast or greasy feel at all. I use it instead of make-up primer under my SPF 30 foundation. In the winter I use Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry touch instead of Banana boat as it’s a bit more hydrating. Your videos are very informative!

Dr. Dray, Is it recommended or safe to put these 3 products you mentioned on freckles that are on the face? I have a freckle on the inner corner of my eyelid that really annoys me because it’s pretty noticeable compared to my other freckles on my face.

Hi Dr Dray, I’ve consulted my dermatologist for a triluma alternative because I couldn’t find it. He said that I can mix equal amount of 4% hydroquinone, 0.05% tretinoin cream and 0.1% hydrocortisone cream. The thing is I can’t find 0.05% cream but I can find gel easily. Can I mix tretinoin gel and the other hydroquinone and hydrocortisone creams? Thank you!

Hi Dr. Dray, I am 62 and has just started on Differin Gel 1% I use Differin oil absorbing Moisturizer with Sunscreen. Board Spectrum SPF 30. I will soon start on Retin-A Tretinoin .05% Do you think I can still use the same Sunscreen when I start on the Retin A So far I am loving Differin, I also use Differin Soothing Moisturizer Rapid Hydration. My skin feels so smooth and soft. I decided to try Tretinoin for the Anti- Ageing benefits. I do know it takes time, and to start slow. I will start maybe once a week for the first month. 2nd month I will increase to twice a week. scared of the peeling I have heard so much about. Wish me luck

Is it okay to apply tretinoin and hydroquinone together on active acne?

Is It okay to use a tretinoin gel (contains alcohol) instead of a cream with hydroquinone? I know in one of your videos you said that hydroquinone should not be used with ethanol.

Dr. Dray, you are amazing. My dermatologist just prescribed TriLuma ($300 without coupon, $200 with) and I couldn’t decide whether to get it over getting Tretinoin + Hydroquinone separately. Your informative video answered all of my questions. Thank you for your great work and contributions!

Hi I use the tinted coz sunscreen. I find that is the best for my tan complexion. It's really depressing to deal with melasma. I appreciate all the information you give for free. I learned so much from your videos. Thank you! 😊

Dr dray: rather than going through all of this…. wouldn’t a laser treatment treat it more effectively and faster without constant issues?

Hello Dr, thanks for the very informative video! I have 2 questions which were not addressed in the video concerning melasma
    1. Heat sources such as oven and saunas, do they affect melasma?
    2. Suncreams with Oxybenzone as an active ingredient (suspect of being a hormone disrupter) …do they affect melasma?

    Thank you xx

I've been following your channel over a year ago and I can't thank you enough for the wealth of knowledge you've shared. I am going to Machu Picchu in May and would like to know if I should stop tretinoin ahead of traveling? Machu Pichu have a very high altitude and although I will be using my spf50, sunglasses and broad rim hats I want to be extra cautious. Thank you for your advise. Greetings from UK 🇬🇧 😘
