Have you ever noticed that black women are more excepting of white woman who join the black community. Black women accept eomen of other races with open arms when their sibilings and other family members date them but I don't see the same for non black men. Why do you think that is? Many black people do not fathom turning down a white person who shows interest. Too many, if you ask me.

Let's be clear. There are over 2 million more single black women than there are black men. So if every single black woman wants to get married, then you're going to see A LOT of "bedwenches". Because if black women remain exclusive to black men then some of them will either be sharing a man with at least 1 other woman, or they will simply be alone. With 25% of black men dating IR, black women need other options.

I think we also have to look at the women and the men these people are with and who thrive and live off of colorism they enjoy the stigma dark people face and the benifit they receive they will not let that privlage go. However we focus on the dark skin bw women who is hating on light skin women and bm men's "preference"
Insecure dark-skinned black men are envious of light-sknned black men, particularly if they are handsome and successful. These are the same types that "worship" white or light – skinned women. The inferiority complex and low self-esteem are deep seated and embarrassingly stark in these men. They need therapy.
A few of my light skinned friends say they would never ever date or marry a colorist black man because they do not want to hear him talk negative about their sisters and he is waiting for opportunity to be with who he really wants to be with: a completely non-Black woman.
Thats why i dont watch any movies right now. Its always the same light skin bw and mixed girls (under 30s) who are cast. Amandla stenberg, zendaya etc… Never a young feminine, fitted dark skin bw.
I believe the older generation, is partially responsible for colorism. Though I am not a colorist, as kids, the older women with tell us, don't play outside in the sun too long, you will get dark, and play in the shade! I heard it a lot growing up, but strangely it was from older women, and I don't know what the men were going through. I believe, by them saying this to the young boys, they may have thought there complexion, if it was dark, that it wasn't desirable, and that they needed to get a light skin woman. I saw a documentary on colorism, and the dark skin guy was picked on a lot, so he desires dark skin women. He admitted this, and said he believed, that this was his root cause. He was picked on by men and women. The mixed kids, and light skin kids, were considered more desirable. They were treated better as well. This is what I saw as a child growing up. The elders have influenced a lot of this mess, especially the women for me, in my life, growing up as a child. I don't have a color complex, in regards to women, but I'm pretty sure some men do, because of the system, that they were raised in.
I hate to say it, but it seems like, a lot of people in the community in general, put light skin on a pedestal! Straighter hair, and thinner features as well. The women and men, and both dark skin men, and dark skin women, are hypocritical about this. The weaves, the contouring of the nose, black men having a preference, towards mixed and light skin women, women wanting light skin kids, and men too, is a bigger issue than I thought. Gabrielle Union said this, the goal of the black community, is to have light skin and wavy hair! There is an essence of this in the community. Add in texturizers, Jheri Curls, and S curls to this list as well. It seems like to get rid of your African features, or African features, or to mix it with something else, somehow makes it better! I had a dark-skinned female friend tell me, she wished and her daughter did not come out with broad features. There's definitely a deep symptom in the black community. The men and the women are not being totally honest, and a lot of women and men desire to have mixed features, on themselves!
