Maybe try grouping all your effects layers and adding a mask to the group instead of individually masking every layer. This way if any layer really does need its own mask you can still do that, but you won't need to and you won't have to apply the same change multiple times if you need to edit the group mask.

You zoomed in so it was impossible to see how you created the colour balance layer.

no LAB test of brightness in % ,no CMYK test of colour skin tone, you do the all things to go far than you can go right way. SKin isnt purple, red and orange…skin should be a litle bit yellow and pink ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi. Thanks so much for the tutorial, but I'm having an issue. I've performed the edge refinement on my selection, output to selection, and then I've created the color balance layer, which correctly only effects my selected face. But when I go to add the Curves layer, whether or not I Ctrl+click the Color Balance layer, I lose my selection and the Curves editing effects the entire picture. I watched that portion of the video carefully several times, but I can't seem to get the selection (the marching ants) to stay visible after the Color Balance. Any help would be appreciated.

+TutorVidย  I could not follow the ending. How to smooth the edges at the end? When I tried the brush color is way darker than the changes I made on the face and also there appears a distinct line between face and hair. Please show the ending clearly and which options to choose.

Whenever I drag the wand around the face, it automatically just outlines the entire image. I can't get it to follow my lead around the skin without it breaking and the whole pic…

Hey…how about yo make a tutorial about how to retouch men's skin. Apparently you blur it much less cause it needs to look scruff, but what do you do with mens' beards?
