Olive Skin Tone and what make up to wear with it

Hello guys! I recently found out that I have an olive skin tone! It isn’t warm. And that has helped me decide what sort of makeup to wear. I hope the tips in this video will help you too!

Sometimes I prefer to do videos like these, like vlogs instead of tutorials. Cause sometimes, I make videos for just myself. hehe, It’s kinda like a video diary for me since I don’t blog anymore.

Wow it now makes sense, but my palms are pink maybe thats why I am neutral. I also have a problem with hyperpigmentation.

However, everyone keep in mind that even if you tan easily/have trouble finding shades that match you, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have olive undertones. You really have to look at your skin, especially the sections of your body with the thinnest layers of skin (e.g. collarbones, ankles, underside of forearms, nape of your neck, etc.). You have to see the GREEN.

Great discussion๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป….I FINALLY determined my skin was a medium olive after ruling everything else out! It took me awhile but grey/silver eyeshadow is totally OUT, no matter how much you might like it. For blusher, youโ€™re right- warm peach or a natural/earthy mauve are best. For foundations, neutral warm w/deep golden (NOT yellow) undertone works best for me. Thanks for putting your ideas out there!๐Ÿ˜Š

Haha the comment about thinking our skin looks dull is true. I thought there was a problem with my skintone too and I started to stay out of the sun more. I think deep purples or plummy colours (with the exception of very blue based purple or pastel) look good on us though. Berry shades especially and same with Grey.

The lip colour you chose is so pretty and I have tried it before but it turned me mustard.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†

I always struggled with foundation. At first I thought I was a neutral bc Iโ€™m not super yellow, but the issue was that neutrals had some pink in them and I was most definitely not pink or peach at all. So I opted for yellow/golden although never looked right on me(it looked peachy on me). It also didnโ€™t help that my body was super tan but my face was pale so I couldnโ€™t figure out what shade I was suppose to match my foundation too. This video helped me a lot so thank you. I always thought olives were suppose to be tan all over, didnโ€™t realize that they could be all different shades. I am most definitely green and not very yellow, I see it now more than I did before. Iโ€™m glad I understand why it was always so difficult to find my foundation. I thought it was bc I couldnโ€™t see colors properly lol.
