My French make-up routine for everyday (5 minutes) | Justine Leconte

My French make-up routine for everyday (5 minutes) | Justine Leconte

Highly requested video! This is how I do my makeup in 5 minutes everyday (so it is a quick and easy routine that works even if you are in a rush), for a natural looking and minimal look. I use only 8 products and foundation is not one of them ๐Ÿ˜‰
I guess you could call this a French makeup routine.
Thumbs up if you enjoyed this video!

New videos: Wednesday 4pm (new time!!) & Sunday 12pm (Paris/Berlin time).

Take care!

My initial video on building a capsule wardrobe:

How to add colors to your wardrobe:

How to find your own style – in 6 steps:

– Day care:
Garnier Ultra Lift SPF 15 – very nourishing, although my skin is “normal” and not dry. To avoid if you have oily / unclear skin because it would be too nourishing for you.
I also use e.g. Eucerin Hyaluron filler day care for dry skin – rather in winter:

– BB cream:
Garnier BB cream for combination/oily skin in “light” – on top of the nourishing day care, to mattify. Low coverage, it is not like a foundation.

– Concealer:
Essence camouflage cream concealer in “010 natural beige”. Good coverage, blend in well all around the undereye area.

– Rouge:
Essence Mosaic Compact Powder in “01 sunkissed beauty” – with light, medium and darker tones to set different accents.
When I am really tanned, I switch to La Roche Posay Unifiance Anti-Dryness Compact Powder in “04 beige soleil”.

– Brows:
Eyebrow Cake Powder in “02 dark brown” – I use the lighter one of the two to make my eyebrows look fuller:
If I need more contrast (e.g. to be photographed or filmed by a camera), I make my brows even darker with Benefit Precisely My Brow nb. 5:

– Under the brows:
Benefit High Brow highlighting pencil for cool skin (pinkish) to catch more light and to make my brows appear “higher” on my forehead:

– Mascara:
La Roche Posay Respectissime waterproof mascara for sensitive eyes with bee wax in black:

– Lips:
Galerie Noรฉmie matte lip ink (I think it is not sold anymore but there are similar “ink” textures available).

My color doesnโ€™t change, I am a ginger. ๐Ÿ˜… I seem to have hardly any surface color, thought I get redness coming through. Makes it a bit tricky to cover because a concealer or powder that seems to match indoors can still look like an orange mask in the sunlight next to my pale, transparent skin. Great tips though, I love natural makeup ๐Ÿ™‚ I need to figure out how to use a bb cream quickly like this instead of taking so much time to spot conceal like some kind of painting ๐Ÿ˜‚ but itโ€™s hard to find an appropriate color.

The only thing that shocked me was that you used your moisturiser under your eyes! I always use an eye cream. Yet clearly, it doesn't seem to have done you any harm. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just love your blog, it is absolutely SUPERB!! Just one question: I don't get it when you say you want to show your natural skin, beause your skin is you – and then go on to put a lot of covering products on to your skin? Both BB and concealer.

An easy make-up in the morning is a bit of light powder on your skin, rouge on your cheeks to look fresh and a
very thin layer of mascara or even transparent mascara.
But Justines make-up routine takes minimum 30 minutes not 5

Great advice, but I've noticed some mistakes, this is for you who watched the video as well. Today, spf 15 is not enough, 30 is minimum because the radiation from the Sun is stronger now than ever. For spf to work you need to put on waaaaay more product. Apply as much as you can all over your face, neck and ears (and wherever your skin is exposed) if you are in direct sunlight reapply every hour (and no, foundations and powders with spf don't work :)). Her foundation doesn't match her neck very well, Lisa Eldrige made a great tutorial on her channel for this! Basically her neck has yellow tones but the bb cream seems to have neutral, pinkish tones. If your base is perfect as well as your brows then everything else should fall into place. If your brows are full don't fill them in, to save time. Just put makeup where you really need it if you're in a hurry. Practise at home and see what you like and what's imprtant and create your OWN routine based on YOUR face. Phew, thay was long. I hope this helped ๐Ÿ˜Š
