How is it possible to ask other women of color in a patriarchal ,white supremacist society to give up any advantages they may have? Why? Why are light skin women being asked to do this?

Please explain WHY light skin women "NEED" to help dark skin women? Why are dark skin women so deserving of my privilege? How can someone fix their lips to tell a woman of color in this white supremacist society that they "NEED" to sacrifice themselves for someone else? Why are dark skin women so entitled? I don't understand this. How have you earned my privilege? What extraordinary thing(s) have you done for me? How have you enriched my life? Do you not realize what you're asking of us?

Imagine someone telling you that you need to hand over your survival tools so they can survive. WTH?? What makes their life more important than yours? Yes, I know this is going to piss people off, but I'm not here for this. While dark skin women are being told to boycott light skin women, burn the cape, etc., light skin women are still defending them. Enough is enough!

Light skin women, start looking out for yourselves, FIRST! You are not obligated to anyone! You DO NOT owe anyone ANYTHING! WE DID NOT CREATE THIS SYSTEM! You do not owe dark skin women ANYTHING, especially not the ones who are boycotting us. Stop allowing these people to scam you with "light skin privilege" and other BS. So what! That's your life. If you're an adult, no one has the right to tell you how to live your life. You don't have to use your light skin privilege to help anyone. HELP YOURSELF!

They want to control EVERYTHING light skin women do. They don't have the right to tell us what to do! Why are we allowing this? Why has this been going on for so long? Why won't you ladies fight back?

Please do not give up anything for anyone else's benefit. We need each other to succeed in this extremely volatile world. There isn't any shades of grey anymore. One is either black or white! Those who continue the great divide within the community are going to be left behind! We are in a crisis right now and it goes beyond ls or ds.

Unfortunately, we are still under this Willie Lynch mentality. My wish is to see this LS vs DS controversial conversation turn into uplifting for all of our girls. As a mother of a DS daughter, I cry when she comes home hurt and frustrated because of this ds/ls rivalry. We are all considered black. I can't wait until we see the truth! Keep sharing!

Most dsbw thrive on attention praise and recognition. They hate sharing the spotlight with women of lighter skin tones, especially, if the woman who have the lighter skin tone, is every. bit as pretty attractive and talented as they are.

In the comment section, l am very shocked to see how serious this issue is, and some people are leaving the black community for good because of it. I love Izzie's channel! She speaks facts! She's basically telling folks to stop dealing with the fuckery. It's ok for light skin to constantly be demeaned and attacked but if lights speak up, we're colorist. Contrary to popular belief, lightskin people do deal with colorism. Being over sexualized and fetishized is not a privilege! I know many light skin people deal with verbal and physical abuse from the color of their skin. And the main reason why this discussion is always heated because when most dark skin people address colorism, there's never a solution of how we as a race can end it, it's mostly gaslighting and verbal attacks against lights. So when the divisive and stereotypical shit begins, it will always be a division and tension. I've seen light skin people be attacked (myself included) for speaking up for dark skin people and against colorism and when they're quiet. So it's damned if we do or don't. One minute we're black and then we're not black enough. There's plenty of light and mixed blacks that have made prominent history in this country for our culture on behalf for black civil rights, Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Angela Davis and Rye, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Thurgood Marshall, Barack Obama, Josephine Baker, etc. So I'm still trying to figure out how light skin people have never done anything to help our race. Ironically colorism is never blamed on where it originates from, white supremacy. Instead light skin is the blame of it all…

I disagree the only thing we do owe each other is respect. The respect is to be earned on an individual level. Please donโ€™t group all dark skin women into one category. At the end of the day I think some of the topics you cover are true. Especially regarding princess tiana. Like how can some get mad at black womenโ€™s only representation in Disney.

I do believe it was opening an old wound from times when ds actors got replaced with Ls actors.

Do I need light skin women to feel sorry for me? No, is it okay to share our issues with colorism? Yes.

There was a young girl ds girl that got discriminated by a ds man for being to dark. Was it wrong? Yes, being denied employment based on her complexion.

What are your feelings on colorist comments made by ls youtubers?

Or what about ds black men that date ls or mixed women simply because they hate themselves?

I donโ€™t fight over minute reasons I fight for respect. I love myself enough to know that I donโ€™t want to date a self hating black man.

Izzie, actually light skinned blacks do get SOME advantages in society. Have you seen the stats on how light skinned blacks get lighter and shorter prison sentences than DS blacks? It is not about just BM's attention. Light skinned blacks really get somewhat different treatment in the judicial system. Now I'm not saying LS BP don't face discrimination in a WS society. We absolutely do, but it would be disingenuous to say that socially BP who are closer to white phenotypically don't receive some social and societal benefits.

I respect what you do and love your channel, I'm just expressing how I feel

I'm not going to step on others necks to get ahead. Everyone should be treated equally regardless of race or skintone. I'm willing to give up my privileges as a LS BW, because I expect the GOOD WP to dismantle the system of WS, I can't then be a hypocrite and benefit from colorism which is a side effect of racism. If I were to benefit from colorism, that means I'm not better than a racist WS.

Don't remember just who said it in another vlog, but black women, in general, are still living in 1968 as far as loyalty to black men (and the larger community, for that matter) is concerned–even as many of them have moved on to non-black women. Just a related thought.

I'm looking forard to your self love work too. I feel that LSP have an easier accpetance rate into the patriarchy of other higher up on the totem pole/heiracrhy system and i feel this is why we get so much distain from some DSP. Dr frances cres welsing said the daker you are the greater potential you have for genetic erasure against another group. This is why white people tend to be more "focused" on mass intergration of DSP just look at italy right now. I'm not saying it's right but it is the way it is. LSP mainly women need to stop vying for the acceptance of a community that holds very little power in this world at the present moment. Power play moves are like what meghan has done with harry use your LSP to access a better life irrespective of where it is this is how we must compete. If people think we are competing right now hey are sleeping. But is LSW really get themselves together just look at the power that rhi rhi and beyonce weild right now. Now is the time to use that LSP and feminity to get the best. Check out sheraseven's channel. Eat healthy and change your mind change your life.#live

The only privilege that light skinned women have over darker skinned women, is that many lighter skinned women are more accepted by the white mainstream. Light skinned black women are less likely to be profiled in establishments such as retail stores and are often not treated as harsh in school. Darker skinned are always assumed to be angry and trouble makers, even when they are not.

A lot of dark skin men do see LS women as gullible and pawns. For example one day I had to get my inspection sticker renewed. So I went to this black man who has a small business and does them. Because Iโ€™m a โ€œyoungโ€ woman I knew he was gon try to pull some bs on me because you know they snakes. So when he finished changing my tag this man tried to con me into giving him a big tip. He washes cars and does tags but he only changed my tag. I paid him with a hundred dollar bill. First he starts pretending to keep all my money then basically asking for a 10-20 dollar tip. I told him no. He says them white women leave him big tips (which people may for a car wash). Lol. So I said well Iโ€™m not white. So then he goes u gon let them white women out do u like dat. Then he said but u light skin yโ€™all usually be a lil softer. So because Iโ€™m LS he basically thought that I would be easier to get over on.

And Iโ€™d went to this same man a few years ago but my mom was with me and he didnโ€™t ask for anything extra. It was funny but an eye opener.

I lost it at mustache. This DS girl who tried to bully me said I had a mustache๐Ÿ˜‚, but yeah itโ€™s really sad. Moving to the city for college I never realized how bad DS ppl hate ls people. As Iโ€™ve said before just about every DS black woman Iโ€™ve ran into have had an issue. Even at work, I think the 40/50 yr old women are worse than the younger ones. At my old job thatโ€™s who attacked me the most, older DS women.they would come in groups stand in a corner and stare and snicker at me. One of them I had met at my college and I called her out on it and she was very embarrassed. Iโ€™ve recently graduated but I ended up moving back to the white town and out the city. Itโ€™s a shame when the โ€œoppressorsโ€ treat you better than your own people. SMH!
