I was in an accident and have to sleep on my back, (think recliner but with a bed), so both my legs and head are at an angle. Could have been because I was in hospital bed for 9 months, but I have found that my skin is perfect in the morning, no swelling, redness, puffiness under eyes. Wondering if it's the way I'm sleeping now, never thought about it though. I do have to say the thought of sleeping on my stomach or side, nope. But also, I have pain in my back if I do. Anyway, always thought I was weird, but don't now, thanks✌🏼️

Great topic. I got a Rose Quartz roller and Gua Sha stone also Rose Quartz. Instructions in the box did say a facial oil can be used before rolling. So I cleanse my face and then apply one or two drops to the palm of my hands to warm the oil and ever so lightly pat into face and neck area. You do wash the stone with some warm soapy water after each use to prevent contamination. I find the actual rolling very relaxing. The roller I got sells for about $25 and the gua sha stone and it is genuine stone. I have done videos on both the roller and also using the gua sha stone in case you would be interested to give it a try. Lastly referring to this old method and how it goes back many centuries as a beauty and health treatment. Asian women have been practicing these methods for centuries and in my humble opinion are renown for their eternal beauty and lovely skin. The proof is definitely in the pudding, even if not documented through western medicine. I have also seen Gha sha stones used as a form of acupressure on the body, not just for facial massage. I personally find this whole ancient medicine fascinating and have an open mind of at least giving it a go. Blessings to you today. Maria (Life According to Maria)

So what I get from this is the Jade roller (or any roller) can be relaxing and slightly beneficial. But not a miracle worker. I wanted to get one mostly for the relaxation effects.

    Re sleeping on back

I sleep on incline, pillow under knees queen shams behind my head, travel c pillow around my neck.

What do you think about buying a 10 " wedge pillow instead of shams?

Thank you Dr Dray, I also was a stomach sleeper and side sleeper but now I have been sleeping on my back for years on a couch. I don’t have a bed am I injuring my body to keep sleeping on the leather couch with quilts and blankets and pillows? I have no other choice right now financially. ❤️❤️

My muscles are genetically tense all over my body especially my neck and shoulders. The jade roller feels so very good on my knotted neck muscles. Also helps relax my facial muscles. That’s my only reason for using the roller whenever I am fatigued

I have had one of these sitting in my Amazon cart for weeks trying to decide whether or not to get it and whether or not it was real jade. I know the mature women community speaks highly about them. But now I think I will pass on it. No need adding another step that is questionable if I am trying to simplify my skin care routine. Thanks so much for this review. Enjoyed!!

I think that dog is my next door neighbor's long lost cousin! 😫😄 When I had under eye puffiness I tried EVERYTHING to remedy it, with very little success. I slept on my back in an elevated position, learned all the pressure points to address under eye swelling, laid off the salt, purchased every de-puffing eye cream out there, and nothing worked! Restylane in my tear troughs was the answer! Lol! Still, one of the best decisions I've ever made! Great video as usual! 💖😘

I never understood the attraction. If I wake up puffy, I grab a spoon and use that while making my coffee.

Hi Dr.Dray- I couldn’t figure out how to message you privately. I noticed you love cerave, however when I look this product up on the ewg and good guide website it received ratings that indicate it has average to above average ingredients in it that are harmful to the body. What are your thoughts on this? I’ve watched a few of your videos and I get the sense you’re very aware of your health- and what can affect it. Do you use the ewg or good guide? And what do you think of using products rated 4-5 on the ewg and 6 and above on the good guide?

My Mom would run a butter knife under cold water and press it against injured body parts on us kids to impede swelling so it appears that the rose quartz and jade rollers provide the same kind of effect. Using the roller on a clean face BEFORE applying products makes sense to me for all the reasons mentioned, but of I were to buy one I would follow the advice of the Asian commentators and purchase one at an Asian market for the best price..and, as always, buyer beware.

I’ve been meaning to ask… are there any negative effects from over hydrating/ moisturizing oily skin ? Other than increased shine , can it cause or worsen acne?

I just got a package with two Kiss Me Mommy alcohol free sunscreens that you had recommended. Can't wait to try them!! I also got the CosRX ultimate nourishing rice overnight spa mask that I plan to use as a moisturizer. The heater on at work is being rough on my skin. I'm torn between wearing mineral make up to cover my hyperpigmentation and scars and going make up free so I can easily reapply moisturizer. The answer should be obvious but I can't help being a bit vain. >.< Do you recommend any tinted moisturizer for oily skin?
