It's so lovely to see an older lady in our age group doing darker colours, as i have a problem with those too! Im 51 with a hooded eye too & started having problems putting my make up on in the last 3-5yrs. I have to steer away from anything with a shimmer as it just doesnt look right on my eyes, matt shadows tend to work better and i do suit dark purply shades but all the browns and darker colours that used to look ok, don't anymore! I havent got any wrinkles but do have lines appearing on my forehead when im putting my makeup on and i notice you don't. Do you do botox on your forehead as it doesnt seem to move when you're applying your eye make-up. I hope you dont think it cheeky of me to ask, im just interested in our age group & what i may be doing wrong. Thanks in advance
Also Angie, which brush companies do you recommend, bare in mind im in England so if you could give me a few company names that you prefer i can then hopefully get at least one of them over here? It would be a great help, as it was only recently that i realised good brushes make a difference, as i havent really needed to bother so much until recently, my normal brushes arent doing it for me anymore, so my skin has definitely changed & better brushes may be all i need to change
This was so disappointing. I really thought that I was actually going to see some color not just a smoky version of gray purple. So basically you reaffirmed that older women can't wear color which is incredibly disappointing
Thank you for your videos. Iโve loved makeup since 1980 and always have it on, but Iโve gotten concerned my dark eyes may be a bit much for my 51 years. My mom and now my daughter wear NO makeup so Iโm hoping I donโt look way too made up w her. Iโm not much for color either but have recently loved the pink and purple tones for eyeliner.
Thank you again. Liz- Austin Tx
You do a great job of explaining make-up for for older women. But you naturally beautiful. Almost everything you do looks great.
How old are you
Still great strategy. As much fun as it is to watch the wild shadow looks from some influencers, I look to your methods to actually use on myself. You're the best!!
Terrible skills and bad advice.
Thank you for the video. I don't wear makeup typically, but want to appear more pulled together and professional in my new career. My 54 year old droopy eyelids are always a challenge when I do attempt to wear eye shadow. Thanks again.
I love thisvideo..Great tips on eye shadow! Wendy
Angie, would you consider testing out the Giorgio Armani eye tints? Thank you.
I'm 3 months shy of my 51st birthday and I use glitter, colors, foils the whole shabang. I have hooded eyes and crepey lids as well. In my experience it's about application and finding colors that compliment your coloring. I'm also a bohemian girl and have been most of my life so I guess maybe people are just used to my colorful expressions in my clothes and accessories and of course makeup. I say do what you love and be you. ๐๐โคโค
Very beautiful.
Thanks will help me a lot.
Best and most useful makeup video I ever watched. Thanks. I hope you have a video for coloring over fifty faded lips.
I never thought I would be able to wear make up again. I am turning 53 this month. I have not worn shadow in years. Just mascara and lipstick. Sometimes concealer. I am going to look through your videos to see what other tips you have. I would love to know what your recommend for under eye cream. Thank you for your channel.
You're such a beautiful lady
your beautuful women
I like the neutral looks as well.ย I'm for a natural look too.ย the Bozo look just isn't for me!ย LOL!ย I have blue eyes so I have to be careful not to wear colors that make your eyes melt into the rest of you face so to speak.ย Great video!
I tried this Angie and my husband loved it. I am 66 and still love to wear makeup done right! Keep the tutorial for mature women coming!
Thanks! I've added the "primer" from Macy's. I stopped wearing my shadows about 10 years ago because of the creasing. I hope the primer works!
You look amazing.
