How to Use Color Correctors to Hide Dark Circles (For Medium Skin Tones)

When concealer isn’t doing enough to hide your dark circles, it’s time to call in color correctors. In this video, we show you how custom color correctors will help to neutralize dark circles under your eyes. Victor Henao, Director of Global Makeup Artistry & Design, will show that the 5 peach tones we created will help color correct for every dark circle out there.

What makes this product unique is that it has 2 different ends and two different coverage levels, making it easy to customize application. One side has a brush tip applicator that helps sweep on a veil of color, making it perfect for lager areas. The other side is a more concentrated and has a doe foot applicator to target harder to reach areas that need more full coverage.

To neutralize the under eye circles on Eliza, Victor is going in with the peach color corrector. This shade is perfect for light to medium skin tones. If you’re lighter, use the pink shade, if you’re a little bit deeper, you can use the apricot shade. Victor preps Eliza’s skin with Advanced Night Repair, Supreme Moisturizer and eye serum and lets it settle for one minute. Then Victor identifies where Eliza needs a little bit more color correcting. That tends to be directly underneath the eye and in the inner corners. He applies a little dot in the inner corners where she needs coverage and color correcting, and taps it with his fingertips. Although this is the perfect shade for Eliza, this will not replace her concealer or foundation. Tap a little concealer on top of the color corrector and a little around the nose. Add a little mascara and lip gloss to finish it off.
