I'm not 4c, but learned a lot from you. My wash day is simple. I use a moisturizing shampoo bar, conditioner, and Shea butter mix. Leaves my hair very soft and smooth and moisturized!!

I find the mosisture in my hair stays longer if I keep in braids or twists like was shown on this video, but I normally keep the twists or braids in for at least a couple of weeks (since I don't like takong them down and twisting or braiding back up too often)

Superb and informative video! Thank you so much for sharing.

How I typically moisturize my hair between wash days is simply with pure aloe vera juice (Liquid), As I Am GroYogurt leave in conditioner (Cream) and seal with the Mane Choice Hair Butter. My coarse, woolly hair always appreciates me for this. It is the ultimate midweek moisture hydration solution for dull and brittle hair.

Love you much. Blessings, love, peace ๐Ÿ˜Š

This treatment didn't work but what does work on extremely dry hair is DIY…1st…half banana, one avacoda, 1 cup of raw honey, 1 cup of goya coconut milk, or choose your own brand, 3 tablespoons of olive oil …mix with blender…or whisk till smooth. Put all over hair…put plastic cap on..sit under dryer for 45 mins… rinse…sulfate free shampoo. Rinse. Use your leave in conditioner, next use your leave in cream that has shea butter in it and oils, next choose an oil. I use jamaican castor oil mix with jojobo oil that will seal in the moisture…Everyday or everyother day spray hair with water and add a leave in cream that has shea butter mixed with oils…you can do this after work and let hair dry a little than do the 2 twist in big or small size…put satin cap on when headed to bed…Will soon be getting my on channel…trust me girls…you ain't seen nothing yet! I'm going to tell you the dos and donts..and all about products that are good and bad!..Believe me some alcohol in products are fine to use…you have the good and bad alcohols just like there are good and bad carbs…So so many ways to keep hair mosturize…

I'm doing the LOC method with water, then a cream leave-in conditioner, then an oil and then a curling smoothie. Do you think that order is ok? Cause I see you using the leave-in after the oil

I hydrate/moisturize once a week using the traditional LOC Method. I usually have 4-5 sections depending on if I have a middle part (4) or a side part (5). I spritz with water(L), add a leave in conditioner(L), use an oil mixture(O) and then a cream moisturizing styler(C) and twist it up. I like to apply my water, leave in and oil to the entire section and use the cream styler as I twist (using a wide tooth comb to detangle before twisting each twist). I do this routine weekly and shampoo/deep condition once a month (first Sunday). Doing this routine has allowed my hair to flourish. I do have normal to high porosity, type 4c hair.

Because my hair is 3a,b and c I can get away with Moisturizing/hydrate it on a busy day. However I think for any hair type you should moisturize/hydrate everyday or every other day, or plan ahead so if your in hurry, you donโ€™t have to go to war with your hair lol ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

QUESTION! I often hear 4c naturals should leave their alone, but at the same time should moisturize often. How do I balance leaving the hair alone, how do I do that bcuz in order for me to moisturize, I need to touch my hair!

I would say I have 4-C hair Honestly I have never seen anyone on YouTube with my hair texture. I am going to follow this routine exactly for 14 days. Question, may I use regular shea butter instead of "brand name" whip shea butter? I like to use it on my body so a multi use product is more cost effective for me.

Ive realized that applying my leave in on soaking wet hair, then applying a butter, leaves my hair moisturized longer and works best especially if I put it in braids.
