Rashida, seriously, how do you 'advocate' for dark skinned women? It's not like someone is being denied Constitutional or legal rights because a guy doesn't find 'dark skin' attractive. You can't force someone to change their preferences (and that means a dark woman can't be forced on to a man who likes light, and a light woman can't be forced upon a man who likes dark). You also can't silence men who find light skin attractive and prefer it. So there's not much room for 'advocacy'.

I saw the beautiful picture of you with a bun and you look amazing.  I am with you on being dark skin.  My father was dark skinned and my mother is borderline brown skin.  During the winter I am pecan brown and the summer I am darker.  I am 51 years old and went thru the same things  you went thru.  My own mother called me unattractive growing up so I assumed she was right and I accepted it.  I was until I got middle aged that I really got over a lot of things I was taught about complexion.  Jewish men are always winking at me and some other foreigners.  Black men only want me when they have nothing.  Why would I want that?  Better off on my own.  Girl, I'm just loving me and my life.  My mother has Alzheimer's disease and I take care of her with the help of God and my later father's pension right now and I am back in school again to attain more training and take care of myself in my old age.   Unless a man has a great job and wants to share his life with me and I don't have to work but only work if I want to will be the only way I will marry anyone. What is the point in getting married to split 50/50? I'd live better where I am now.  There is very little that a man could give me.  Most men have too much baggage–kids, substance abuse, broke.  Doing my best to not let this into my life.  Just not that desperate.    You gotta find a man who wants to married.  That is the hard part. They are out here but they are scared or working a lot and don't have time to date.  My husband is out there I just know it.  Your husband is out there too. You are too intelligent and beautiful to be left behind.  Glad you are celebrating your dark beauty as I do mine.  Don't settle for less like so many other women do.  Think more of yourself.  We are worth it whether the black man knows it or not.  I'll find an Asian/white man if I have  to. Just want to be loved and respected the way I need to be.  Finding someone to love you the way YOU need to be loved is hard but essential.  Understanding your man's love language is necessary as well.  That 's why a lot of marriages fail.  People are not getting love the way they need it.  I know what I want and how I want it.  Guess what?  I'm going to get it too.  Love you Dark Princess. See ya!

what makes you think darkskin women have a hard time. men like all shades of women and there are plenty of dark skinned sexy women on tv and in porn. I could name a whole list of dark skinned millionaires in Hollywood and professional sports and politicians..that dark skinned thing is played out. what man other than a faggot wouldnt wife up a dark skinned female or any sexy female for that matter. also im not lightskin but light brown and on my job im the outcast and the dark skinned people be more in the inner circle than me and the lightskin..so why am I a social outcast but the dark and light blacks around me all seem mundane and programmed. I think you are perpetrating this antiquated idea and its not valid by any means. ive even seen white men married to dark skinned women in fact most the time it be dark skinned women in interracial relationships. I think you have no problem with getting a man you just makin fuss for no reason. I would talk to a girl you so why are you makin this fuss when you are not even ugly. it makes no sense.

Why don't you place the Light behind the Camera, Facing You. The light washes directly into the Camera lens and obscures the luster of your beautiful black skin.

How in the world does a woman as sexy and beautiful as you trip so hard! Been watching your vids, hear you, but DON'T get you? It's like you don't see yourself!
Must be the men you choosing, there's no way YOU can't get no man ( I emphasize man)! Finding a natural, darkskin beauty, with brains, manners, and values is most preferred by myself and EVERY black man I know, but the hardest thing to find. So WHY aren't you straight? There is no darkskin against lightskin, thats Hollywood shit!!!!

No offense, but the way you carry yourself has more to do with why you can't get a man. You come off as very masculine and militant. You seem like you'd be alot to deal with and would project many of your insecurities onto your man. You're an attractive woman, however, there's no femininity to you. You come off as a dude, most men aren't trying to date a woman who acts like them. Men love feminine women, women who make them feel like men. I know a dark skin women who is very pretty but very feminine and is confident in herself and black men pick up on that and try to get with her. I've had guys come up to me and ask about her and if she has a man. She's into white or Asian men. She's feminine, charming and charismatic, and witty. Plus she has interests and hobbies and take pride in her appearance and looks after her shape. I've seen many dark skin women with dark skin men, but the women are feminine and act like women; not dudes.

You really need to work on becoming a woman; feminine, confident, has dreams and goals, and it doesn't hurt if you stayed in shape.

Also, your energy is very negative. The type of energy you put out will come right back to you. My friend is very positive has no problems looking black men in the eye. They sometimes look away but she doesn't care lol. She's a VERY confident person. She wasn't always like this either, she went on a personal development and self-love journey for years before she got her confidence. She stopped letting men determine her value and self-worth and stopped using them for validation of her beauty. She's had many black men come up to her and tell her if more black women were like her, they wouldn't have to worry about their men leaving or waning to date out. Also, she stands out tremendously where we live b/c a majority of the black women look busted, are overweight are sloppy and very masculine and they don't smile. She's like a breathe of fresh air lol. This one guy walked up to her once and said "just seeing you made my day" and he walked off. But it's interesting seeing as how growing up, most of the teasing and name calling came black men! Now they're trying to get with her!

Did it ever occur to you to wipe your face with an alcohol pad and put a lampshade on that bulb so you don't "Look" so Ghetto? Did it ever occur to you that you are your own worse enemy? Is that an eviction notice on the wall to the right? Notice how you have to clarify that the food is NOT free? That's because niggas show up with empty tupperware to fill that shit up. Niggas love free food.
