B.O.M.B Drugstore Makeup Tutorial | Black Owned Makeup Brands Matter | Makeupd0ll

โ–บ T H U M B S U P if you support Black owned makeup brands too!
โ–บ DISCLAIMER: It has come to my attention that Black Opal AND Black Radiance are both Black managed. Black Opal is partially BO. There’s so much incorrect information online. I personally think any brand that caters to WOC should be supported, but this tutorial was a BOMB look and I feel I didn’t fairly complete this challenge. I have a part 2 coming for online BOMB; I will try to incorporate as many as I can and contact each company personally to find out if they are in fact BO. Thank you all for understanding and correcting me when I’m wrong! Stay tuned for part 2 soon. ๐Ÿ’—

Thank you to everyone who has brought it to my attention that Black Radiance is not actually Black owned even though the makeup is catered to WOC. If we could get a comprehensive list of Black owned drugstore makeup brands here, that would be wonderful. That way anyone who wants to support can. xo

Hello. Very informative. I wonder why there are almost all black managed and not owned? I know this is old, but where did you get the palette that you put the foundation on?

Also I see alot of black youtubers doing this challenge and not once have I seen a Keyshia Kaoir product used or mentioned and ppl rocking Kylie Jenner and Keyshia has been having her makeup line for years way before a Kylie IJA

Hey Babe!!! were you aware of Black Radiance , Black Opal & Sacha not being black owned companies? Sacha is owned by a middle eastern man … black radiance is only ran by a African American team & Black Opal is listed as black owned but the owner is a Greek man listed as Owner, creater & CEO .. his wife who is a black woman is listed as the "manager"!.. I just wish more people were aware so that this tag could give more actual black owned companies like Lena lashes & Juvias Place could get the recognition they deserve !!!

Hi, could you try this again with more black owned makeup bands? Magnolia makeup, Sacha cosmetics, coloured Raine, laws of nature, Vera Moore, danessa myricks, aj crimson, komplexx blends, vault, pink stiletto, Jay Jill and juvia's place are great but I don't see anyone doing this challenge using them.

Thank you for bringing light to black managed companies. Although they're not sole investors as the owners are, it's still very important as the management has a lot to do with the decisions made on product. Having blacks in that corporate decision making space provides that dual/first customer experience of what we need as black women.

Awesome video doll! If possible, could you start stating places/events/seasons this look would be appropriate for. Us beginners are still learning. In addition, (because you have great teaching skills), I would love a video on brushes (what to look for, what's a powder vs a liq brush) and an eye shadow specific tutorial about where to put colors, what colors are best for events, palette reviews, common mistakes, etc.
