Iโ€™ve always thought this while watching other youtubers with acne. They use their foundation as a mask. This is so much more beautiful imo

Hello, Lisa! It has been almost 9 years since you uploaded this video. Now my best friend asks me a favor to do her make up on her wedding day. It's such an honor, and it also gives me butterflies in my stomach too. Could you please make this video again with the updated products? I've found some products discontinued, so it would be great if you con recommend some alternatives. My friend has oily skin. We're 27 years old. And the wedding shall be at the beach in a tropical country this July, which makes my job harder. I know you're busy, still keep my fingers crossed to see your video by then. A lot of love.

This is my first time watching you and I love your technique. I do a similar face prep. Thanks to you, I know now what steps, products and order to use when covering my dark Spots. I like how you used very little makeup. It looks very natural. Thanks for sharing.

I watched this years and years ago and still come back here. You are still the real beauty guru on YouTube. These newbies gives me headache with all the unnecessary dramas, jealousy and hate. All they care is MONEY but You are classy and have all the knowledge to provide for the people who needed help with makeup, you deserves to be more attention โค๏ธ

That is so true that most people with acne don't have it all over their face, and I love the idea of skincare first then spot conceal and powder which is what I do if I want to even out my skintone/cover anything. It looks more natural and pretty than a whole face of foundation.

2018 will end in 4 days and I can say that this is the plot twist for my skin so far. I am acne-free for a year now but the PIH that it leave makes me frustrated. My skincare routine is great but PIH takes a long time to heal so THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video. I was quite touched when you explained your approach towards imperfect skin. Just found this video and did this today, took my time (took me an hour), just a light layer of foundation and then used concealer for spots and redness, used brushes instead of a sponge for the first time, was very gentle with my skin lightly putting on the products, and wow. I almost cried, but kept the tears in the keep for ruining all my work lol. This really worked, and changed how I felt about foundation today. Thank you , Lisa. Xo

The way you just used simple products and covered all the blemish surprised me a lot. And i felt so relax whenever you moved the brushes on model's face.

I so agree, I never had acne as a teenager..but recently started getting hormonal acne, I also believe I used to put too much foundation, which is not the best idea for sensitive skin.

My problem isnโ€™t concealing the redness of the spot, but rather the scabs or dryness around it. Even if I add light product and blend it out, itโ€™s still evident because of the texture of the skin. I canโ€™t just exfoliate that away because theyโ€™re still healing.

I love this video and the point that you can mainly just cover the areas with the spots. My question would be this: My face is considerably lighter than the rest of my body, how do I apply the same ideas in this video to my face, but also make it match the rest of me?

I don't know if you check out the comments on your old videos but I'm +30, black and still have agressive acne and I'm wondering if your technique differs with skin colour ie do you use colour correctors?

Very informative! Your model has acne in all the same areas that I do, so I strongly related to this. I had a clear face throughout my entire life & then when I hit my late 20s/early 30s, my skin just started going completely downhill. It can feel absolutely mortifying sometimes to be the only person you know in your age group with acne, so I wish I couldโ€™ve gotten it out of the way in my teen years like everyone else. Iโ€™m going to try your technique! Iโ€™ve been really caking on the full coverage foundation & itโ€™s just not a good look, so Iโ€™m excited to try something new. Definitely going to look into that Dermablend concealer because WOW that provided some serious coverage without having to color correct prior to application ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
