A Dark Skin Girl's Opinion of the documentary "DARK GIRLS"

I highly recommend clicking the link below to see a few clips from the documentary (trailer):

I am glad that this documentary was made because it addressed alot of things that people normally won’t talk about. Yes racisim is still prevalant, but it is about accepting yourself and not letting others define you. YOU DEFINE YOU. Love yourself and everyone has no choice but to feel it and respect it. The dvd talks about light-skinned vs. dark skinned women, how it originated, and how we can move forward from this. Go pick this up at redbox today. Loved it! I love being a black, dark-skinned woman and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Great video thank you. The movie opened my eyes a lot wider to the injustices of white supremacy in our society. Great review thank you.

You have a point. I never hard from a person other then a dark skinned girl like me black is beautiful but I don't feel beautiful maybe no one never called me that or its just all in my head. Bullies is another thing. It hard and still hard as a young girl to be excepted by my dark skinned. I quite listen to rape BC they only care about dark skin and the media its not easy to be black girl in this world. And sadly people tell me I should lighten my skin BC of the fucking media

Yeah I was gonna say usually the black darker girl in the video is shaking ass and we only see the back or a quick shot…. But the other girls get full frontal shots every angle they want to give lol

You shouldn't have been insecure of yourself you are beautiful!!! I'm a brown toned skin girl and I used to get judged by that because people thought I was better than everybody else when it was not the case. I watched the documentary and I think every black woman should watch it so we as a people can love ourselves for who we are! ๐Ÿ™‚

and its funny how blacks don't talk about the fair skin blacks and how they get mis treated in the black community as well just because we are light. blacks as a whole just have an enslaved mind. the whites succeeded in making us hate ourselves after slavery and they sit back and watch us kill one another as well
